Uno came to us after he had been hit by a car. He had suffered a fractured leg, scrapes and cuts. Additionally, he had a prior eye injury/defect which required removal of the eye. He is approximately 6 - 7-months-old. We got him out to our orthopedic right away and he repaired his leg and performed the eye removal. This little guy is AWESOME. We had to work to keep him relatively inactive for a bit after surgery. Believe me that was a task for his foster dad. This youngster was ready to bound around a play. After the required time or relaxation, hold on folks...Uno was ready to show us all that he is not handicapped with a leg or eye issue. Uno is such a happy puppy. He loves to play with his foster siblings. He is typical puppy. He plays fast and hard. He really loves his foster sister Inky. The two of them have become fast friends. They love nothing more than to run and play then chill out together soaking in the sunshine. He is housetrained and crate trained. In true German Shepherd fashion, he loves to tell you his thoughts when it is time to settle down. He makes sure you hear his objections to that and especially if someone else is going out to play when he needs some rest time. All in all, he is going to be a great addition to his new furever home.All Lani’s Lucky Shepherds receive an individual examination by a local veterinarian, are current on vaccinations, spay or neutered, microchipped, and tested for heart worms and other intestinal worms and parasites. All incoming dogs receive Drontal Plus de-wormer or its equivalent as an extra precautionary step to go above and beyond to keep our rescued dogs healthy. We feed our rescue dogs high quality dog food and supplements while they live in our foster homes. All these costs are paid for by our rescue. You won’t have to pay for these normal costs or bother with the headaches of having to take your new dog to a vet for all these procedures.We strongly suggest that you complete the adoption application process before choosing a dog from our web page. Most of the dogs on this web page will have approved adopters already looking at them. We get new dogs on a regular basis. The application process can take a couple of weeks depending on your schedule. You will have access to all of our available dogs once you are approved to adopt a rescue dog.
