I adopted Ginger from the Indianapolis Humane Society when she was about 2.5 years old. She’s now 6. She’s generally a calm complacent dog indoors, and doesn’t mind laying around, playing with her toys, but she loves going outside! She rarely barks, unless someone is knocking. But I’ve always lived in urban houses with small yards or no yards, and Ginger would greatly benefit from having lots of space to roam. She loves to sniff, explore and RUN in open spaces. Ginger can be moody and anxious towards new people/dogs. She was abandoned and maybe abused as a puppy, so I think she may lack some social skills. But second time meeting dogs/people she’s always fine and warm. She has never given me any aggression or moody behavior. I would however recommend that she is the only dog in the household for a little while. All in all, Ginger is a sweet, goofy, charismatic dog who needs space, time and lots of attention to be a happy pup. I unfortunately cannot give that to her these days. :(
