Serena is a smooshie-faced glamour-puss! Home Fur Good could not resist this cutie-patootie that they spotted at the county shelter. Serena will turn six years old in September 2022. She is a 58-pound Pit Bull and Shar-Pei mix. (Serena arrived at HFG at 67 pounds, with walks, playtime, jogs on RunBuddy and consistent diet, Serena got her girly figure back). Serena has now spent an entire year in the shelter system. She arrived at county in September 2021 and then came to Home Fur Good in December 2021. Granted, Serena was a bit of a hot mess, a cute one, but still a hot mess. Along with the weight loss, Serena has gained control of her allergies and no longer does she have patchy fur or open wounds. She will need a family dedicated to watching what she eats and making sure nothing sneaks in that will cause a flare up. Serena is curious and outgoing; she happily exits her kennel with anyone at any opportunity. She likes to explore, and she does so without hesitation. We wonder if Serena has selective hearing and prefers to pick and choose whom she listens to, or she may have legit hearing loss. Serena is a total sucker for a squeaky toy and she will entertain herself for hours with a stuffy baby. If you are looking for a goofy girl with a bit of an independent streak, give a call to meet to Serena. The adoption fee is $225 and includes spaying/neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday from 11:00 am-4:00 pm by appointment.
